hello Dana. I am from a Huff line out of the Kentucky area. My grandfather was Isaac Andrew Huff and his daddy was James Madison Huff. would be interesting to know if our family lines might be related.
Hi Dana,
I am looking for history details about Caroline Sarah Huff she was married to James Hoopes Mendenhall.
Their daughter Caroline Sarah was
born January 10, 1858 in Springville Utah, died June 26, 1894.
She was my grandfather’s mother-married to Arthur Velorus Sanford Sr. (Born Nov 1857-Wells Idaho- Died October 17, 1938 Springville, Utah).
According to my mother AVS was married 2x -my grandfathers mother died when he was 15 months old and AVS married his sister-there are 11 children listed as a result of these unions.
Any connection?
Thank You,
LLM
Hilo, Hawaii
The name doesn’t sound familiar. My husband’s Huffs were in Tennessee at that time, and the Huffs I’m personally related to were in Georgia. I’m guessing there’s probably not a connection.
Dana,
I would be interested to see your information on the Thurman family. In addition to the Jouet family, my lineage goes back to the Thurmans of New york, as well. Elizabeth Thurman (sister of John Thurman) married Nicholas Roosevelt and their daughter Elizabeth married Robert Gilchrist and my line goes from there. Let me know! Thanks!
This is for Laura Motta. I do have a little information (birth, death and burial dates and places) on Caroline Sarah Huff.
i think i have some information about a family member of yours Gertrude Perkins. My mom bought a teaching book at a yard sale. If she was a teacher that liked poems and music and some fantastic drawings i think its her. She wrote some amazing poems in that book and there are old articles from 1928. if you know it is her please contat me at tigerhartslilly@gmail.com

Hello!
My name is Dan Svensson and I´m living in Sweden. Sorry for my English. Around 1971-73 I attended a school in Southern Sweden called Önnestad folkhögskola. There I met a boy by the name Charles M (?) Huff. His Address i beleive in USA was 8800 Main Road, Holcomb, New York 14469, USA. We became good friends but he had to return to USA and so we lost Contact. i´ve been looking for him with the purpose to renew our Contact on a distance. When I searched the Internet I saw your name and this site and therefore I take this oppurtunity to try and find Charlie. I will be very happy if you could help me with this. Of course I understand there´s a lot of Huff´s in USA and maybe even in Holcomb or Rochester who are not related. If no answer from You I understand this was not the Way. Thank you anyway for listening. à am also sending a letter to the address above in hope he might still be there. Best wishes Dan.
I am a descendant of the Hobbs families from McDuffie county, Georgia. The hobbs were intermarried into the HUff famiies and I very interested in the Missouri Hobbs that married a Huff. I have not been able to link Missouri Hobbs to my Hobbs line in McDuffie other than by her marriage to a Huff. My great aunt married one of Missouri’s descendants, so I see the link there but I am more interested in the Hobbs side of the equation. Any assistance provided would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Hello,
I am also a descendant of the Missouri Hobbs. She had a daughter named Penny Huff, who is my great great grandmother. I am interested in finding more information about her. I am trying to verify that her husband’s name is Seaborn
