Frank Chapman

Frank Chapman or Chatman is listed as my grandmother's father on her birth record. My grandmother was born 27 September 1929 in Quicksand, Breathitt County, Tennessee. Her parents are listed as Martha Trusty, age 20 (she was born 1909 in Breathitt County) and Frank Chatman, age 25 (probably born 1904 in Kentucky). His occupation is listed as convict and his residence as "Kentucky State Penetenchury" [sic]. Frank's name may also have been Chapman, and he most likely was from or lived in Eastern Kentucky. Research has not turned up many leads as to who he was or who his family was. Any information is appreciated.
